Old Troll Woodworking

ABOUT
Is a very small, personal shop.  So small in fact that there is only one person doing things in here.  Me, The Old Troll.      I started in woodworking around 2000.  I am mostly self taught and have been trying to improve my skills over the years.       Most of my woodturning wood is “recovered” wood.  Wood that has come from orchards and farms that are being cleared or pruned.  I like the idea of giving this wood another life in the things that I turn.      My furniture is hand made and of the best quality that I can provide.  I like to use good, solid wood without a lot of veneering, plywoods or “filler woods”.  I will use good quality plywoods on the ‘back of dressers and such items as that.  But mostly my items are solid wood.  I also avoid the use of screws and nails.  I prefer to use joinery that works for the wood and not force things.  But I will utilize mechanical fasteners if the project requires them.      One other thing that I must stress.  I do not stain, paint or color any of my work.  Everything is clear coated and/or waxed.  I believe that the true beauty of the wood is what should show.
I will also ask that you be patient.  This is a part time endeavor and a love.  I am a Registered Nurse by trade and woodworker by addiction.  When you order something it might not be shipped immediately if I am working out of town.  But I will contact you as soon as possible and let you know when I will get it to you.    My guarantee is that you will be happy with your purchase.  If you aren’t just send it back and I will refund your money or replace the item with another.  YOUR choice.
